Half Worlder

Fifteen-year-old Kristin grew up on Earth as a Half Worlder, which is one of the nicer things people call you when your mother is from another planet.

So when she’s invited by the Stellar Council to travel to a special training academy and become Earth's first interstellar youth ambassador, she's thrilled at the chance for a fresh start.

But just as she finally starts to feel at home in her school full of strange aliens, new friends, and life-threatening homework projects, she and her classmates are kidnapped by a gang of space pirates.

Now Kristin and her friends must use everything they've learned, both in and out of school, to save not only themselves, but the rest of the galaxy.
