Screen Mimic 2.0 Released! With Audio Support!

January 18th, 2007

After months and months of development, Screen Mimic 2.0 has been released. This has been a long time in coming, and is really exciting.

Some of the new features include:

  • Audio support! Record from your default input device during recording or insert any QuickTime readable audio file after you have finished recording.
  • Save support! Make a recording and save it to a Screen Mimic Bundle for later processing.
  • New mouse options: Follow the mouse, hide recording guides.
  • Delayed start: Start recording immediately or after a specified amount of time.
  • New, faster, more streamlined UI.

You can see more and download a demo at Polarian.

I’ll write more about the process that went into this release, especially the UI design, later.
